“LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM”

Ages 3 to 6

The Forest Park Swim Team is offering a “learn to swim program” for ages 3-6. This is for new swimmers to the swim team and to target individuals that have not had any formal learn to a swim program.

How it works: Led by our great coaches and junior coaches. Each swimmer is considered an official member of our BlueFin family. Our coaches will help these young swimmers get comfortable in the water and get ready for the swim team when they come to age. The big difference is that these swimmers will not participate in meets (unless they graduate early) and parents do not have to volunteer (unless their swimmer gets called up to the big leagues).

When: Program runs weekly Monday thru Thursday, starting Tuesday May 31 to Thursday, June 30. Swimming lessons will be from 10:15/10:30 am to 11:00am depending on swimmers. Swimmers are encouraged to attend a minimum of two times a week. Families do not have to buy a team suit for this program.

Expectations of what swimmer will learn:

Getting comfortable with the water

Putting head under water

Floating on back

Learning to rotate to float on back

Learn the doggie paddle

Learn how kick on the their back

Cost: $150 per swimmer. Your swimmer can attend all Blue fin functions and the end of year banquet.
