CONGRATS on another successful home meet yesterday!! It was a fun meet with our Cherry Knolls friends. We had good weather, and made over $100 from Kona Ice’s generous cash back to the team!

Meet Entries Due by WEDNESDAY at NOON!

• For our meet this Saturday, June 15 (away meet at Heritage Greens), please get your entries in no later than noon on Wednesday (June 12). This is extra important when we have an away meet, as we need to our host team enough time to organize the meet schedule.
• Each swimmer can sign up for 3 individual events, and indicate availability for relays. Check the athlete schedule on Friday to determine if your swimmer was placed in a Relay.

Stroke Clinic this Wednesday, June 12 (7-8pm)

Order Pizza!! Olympic Swim Trials Watch Party & Fundraiser (Orders DUE: Sunday, June 16)

• Friday, June 21, 6-8pm at the Pool. We are SO excited for a fun night before our last home meet, where we’ll enjoy watching the Olympic Swim Trials, eat pizza, and set up for the meet. (More event details below!)
• Pizza and Soda: Get dinner and raise money for the team! For $20 you can get either a pepperoni or cheese large pizza (10 slices) and 4 sodas. We will accept cash or check when you arrive and pick up your food and drinks. If paying by check please make it payable to Forest Park Swim Team. The pizzas MUST be pre-ordered and there will not be any extra to purchase at the event. Please select your preferences of pepperoni or cheese pizza in the Signup Genius link below.

Stroke Judges PLEASE!

• We need a few more Stroke Judges to volunteer at the meet this Saturday (June 15). It’s a tri-team meet, but that does not mean your shift is longer! Each shift is 2 hours max. We have a small team and a small pool of stroke judges, and I know this may mean putting in more than 3 shift points this summer… but you are SO appreciated and we need you! UPDATES

Your Gear is Here! 

• The second order from Out of Breath Sports is here, and I’ll bring it to the pool Tuesday starting at 10:00am. 
• If you don’t catch me at practices this week, I’m happy to organize a porch pickup (text me at 303-902-3150), or I’ll bring it to the meet this Saturday.

Pool Gate - Do not prop open! 

• The gate has suffered some wear and tear from being propped open, so please DO NOT use the brick to prop the gate any longer. The gate has been programmed to be unlocked during swim team hours, so please close the gate as you enter/exit.

Bike/Scooter Security

• Luckily we have not had any issues at our pool, but others in the league have experienced bike theft. Please encourage your kids to lock their bikes/scooters on the rack, OR you can bring them inside the gate to the rack that is inside the pool area (to the right when you enter the gate).

Friday, June 21: Olympic Trial Watch Party & Pizza Fundraiser (6-8pm)

• USA! USA! Join us to watch a historic Olympic Swim Trial before we set up for our final home meet. For the first time ever, the USA Olympic Swim Trials will be staged on a football field, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Join us to watch final and semi-final events, streaming live at the north lawn of the Forest Park pool.

Tuesday, June 25: Team Pictures + Team Pool Party (8-10:45am)

• Pictures begin at 8:00, and we’ll use the rest of the morning for a fun team pool party, complete with a blowup slide, donuts, and games (pool-noodle water polo, anyone?)

Saturday, July 13: Team Banquet- Sugar Rush Plus! (6-8pm)

• Our last hurrah of the season! Join us for the ultimate celebration with awards and recognitions, dinner with LOTS of desserts, and of course… swimming!
