Good evening, Blue Fins! We’ve made it to our final week of regular season!

Thanks for being wonderful hosts to the Green Oaks Gators yesterday, and for your patience! Our equipment was clearly dragging a bit this close to the end of the season :)

Here are your action items and updates this week...

Action Items

June 29 Meet Entries - Due JUNE 26!

Sign up for our last regular meet at Hunters Hill! Meet entries are due Wednesday, June 26 by NOON! https://forestparkbluefins.swimtopia.com/swim_meets/555036/swim_meet_entries
Seriously - get those in on time! (As the visiting team, we have very little wiggle room for late entries)

Team Pictures! June 25

Pictures are this Tuesday, June 25! Please arrive for individual pictures between 8:00-9:30.
Individual pictures (and sibling pictures) will be taken, and the team picture is compiled by the photographer. Link for ordering will be sent out later.
Remember- no Guppies practice Tuesday
After pictures complete, we’ll have a pool party!! Donuts, pool-noodle water polo, and good ol’ fashioned Blue Fins fun. (Only registered swimmers in the pool, please)
Please remember to vacate the pool area by 11:00 as usual.

Prelim Entries - Due JULY 1 at 5pm!

Meet entries for Prelims are due JULY 1 at 5:00pm- No exceptions!!
Swimmers must have swam in 2 regular meets in order to participate in Prelims.
The typical meet parameters also apply to Prelims - 3 individual events, and indicate availability for relays (note these can be long days! If you indicate late relay availability, please be sure your swimmer can be there).
The top 16 swimmers from each event move on to Finals, on July 13.
VOLUNTEER JOBS - When you sign up for Prelims, PLEASE pick a volunteer job and sign up. We have been assigned certain jobs for each Prelim and Finals. If you don’t sign up for a job by July 1, Becky and I will assign a job to your family!
- Stroke Judges - ONLY YOU can fulfill these spots as qualified judges. If you see that option for the Prelim you are attending, please sign up!

Attend the Last Fun Friday Practice! June 28

Coaches will be making and serving up delicious pancakes this Friday to celebrate our last “Fun Friday” practice!
We’ll also celebrate the last day of Guppies - Way to go, littlest ones!

Dates and Reminders!

Wednesday, June 26, 7-8pm Stroke Clinic (Butterfly). Bring $10 cash. (Currently full, but check for openings if someone cancels)
Saturday, June 29 - Swim Meet @ Hunters Hill
NO PRACTICE: July 2-5
Prelims: Week of July 8!
- Monday July 8: 13-18 Age Groups
- Tuesday July 9: 8 & Under Age Groups
- Wednesday July 10: 9-10 Age Group
- Thursday July 11: 11-12 Age Group
Practice During Prelims Week: The practice schedule during the week of July 8 will be adjusted due to Prelims. Watch for more details soon!
July 13 - Finals!
July 13, 6:00-8:00pm - Team Banquet at the Pool!
- Theme is “Sugar Rush Plus”! Dinner entrée provided, and each family brings a favorite dessert to share.
- Celebrate the end of the season with awards, a team gift for all swimmers, and of course- SWIMMING!
Big/Little Fish Creation Station: Don’t forget you can make your Big Fish/Little Fish a special card, bookmark, etc at practice this week! Put your creation in their ribbon box folder.
Need a tattoo? Tattoos are still available at practice this week! Get one (or a couple!) before our last regular meet on Saturday! $2 for large, $1 for small. Cash/check only.
