We finished regular season yesterday with a win!! Great job against the Hunters Hill Hawks yesterday. Thank you to everyone who came out for our final regular meet!

We’re now looking ahead to Prelims and Finals next week! Here are your action items and updates for our final two weeks of the season!

Action Items

Prelims Signup by TOMORROW JULY 1, 5:00pm

Seriously - this is THE deadline!

• Navigate to your swimmer’s Prelim date on the website calendar to sign up: https://forestparkbluefins.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
• Everyone can swim! (Swimmers must have participated in 2 regular meets in order to swim in Prelims).
• The typical meet parameters apply to Prelims. Three individual events, and indicate availability for relays (these are longer meets! If you indicate late relay availability, please be sure your swimmer can be there).
• The top 16 swimmers (or relay teams) from each event move on to Finals, on July 13.

Prelims/Finals Volunteer Jobs

When you sign up for Prelims, PLEASE pick a volunteer job and sign up. We have been assigned certain jobs for each Prelim and Finals. If you don’t sign up for a job by July 1, Becky and I will assign a job to your family!

• Stroke Judges - ONLY YOU can fulfill these spots as qualified judges. If you see that option for the Prelim you are attending, please sign up!

Practice Schedule Updates!

Make note of changes in our practice schedule during the next two weeks!

July 1: Regular Practice! Get one more practice in before the 4th of July holiday break.

July 3-5: NO PRACTICE

July 8-11: Altered Practice Schedule

Note the altered age group times! We adjust practice times during Prelim week so that coaches can attend each day’s Prelim as soon as possible.

Monday: July 8

11-12 - 7:00 to 8:00

9-10 - 8:00 to 8:45

8 and Under - 8:45 to 9:30

Tuesday: July 9

13 and Older - 7:00 to 8:00

11 - 12 - 8:00 to 9:00

9 - 10 - 9:00 to 9:45

Wednesday: July 10

13 and Older - 7:00 to 8:00

11 - 12 - 8:00 to 9:00

8 and Under - 9:00 to 9:45

Thursday: July 11

13 and Older - 7:00 to 8:00

9 & 10 - 8:00 to 8:45

8 and Under - 8:45 to 9:30

Friday: July 12 - NO PRACTICE
