Here are Blue Fin action items and updates as we gear up. I know it's a lot; 'Tis the Season! Hang on tight and take your time...

Sign up for a Pool Pitch-In (Forest Park Pool Clean-Up: Saturday, May 17)

Pitch in this Saturday to help Forest Park neighbors get the pool ship-shape and ready for summer. Let’s be good stewards of the pool and pitch-in during the Spring Clean Up Day!

Remember to wear your Blue Fins gear to show off our team spirit. Coffee and donuts will also be available!

Remind is a free app you'll use to communicate with coaches, receive texts about weather cancellations, etc. We recommend you set preferences to receive text notifications from the app.

Swimtopia App

Swimtopia will be a one-stop-shop for the meet schedule, meet/event live results, etc.
Swimtopia is free for limited capability. To get the most out of it, you can pay the $5.99/month premium subscription for a couple months this summer (then cancel, and reinstate next summer!)

Practices Start May 19!

See the full practice schedule here for both afternoons (Week of May 19) and mornings (starting May 27).
In case of bad weather, we’ll send a cancellation email and coaches will send a notice via the Remind app
Practices will focus on getting to know the coaches/swimmers, and gauging swim level.
We know this is the last week of school, so if you’re not able to make it that’s ok!
Guppies do not practice this first week. Guppies start practice Tuesday, May 27.

Family Welcome Meet ’n Greet - May 22, 6:30pm

Thursday, May 22, 6:30pm at the Pool
Meet the coaches, parent reps, fellow families, and learn about what to expect this season! Pick up Blue Fins caps (if you need one), and if suit orders are in we’ll bring them.
We’ll have any available used suits/gear on-site for purchase. Please bring any used suits you might have to donate too!
In case of bad weather, we’ll meet at Southglenn Library, meeting rooms A&B (We’ll notify you via email and Remind app)

Mock Meet - Friday, May 30, 8:00-10:30am

This is our chance to practice setting up for a home meet, running the show, and letting our swimmers get a taste of a real meet!
It is a much shortened version of a meet - running from 8:00-10:30am
Volunteers - please attend if you are able! This is specifically our chance to practice Heating, Timing, and Stroke Judging. This is when we work out the kinks. Make it official and sign up for a spot here!

First Swim Meet!! Saturday, May 31 @ Hunters Hill

Expect warm-ups to be around 7:15am.
Don’t worry, more details to come! Watch for your “Meet Survival Guide” about a week before the meet.

Big Fish/Little Fish

Big Fish/Little Fish is where we pair up a more experienced swimmer with a younger one, and is designed to build connections, support, and mentorship for our younger swimmers.
Everyone who wants to participate will need to opt-in. Watch for an opt-in form to come out this week.
