It’s here!! Our first week of practice! A lot of updates (and some potential weather) this week, so read on…
Practice This Week
- Monday is looking a little cold and stormy. I’m anticipating a cancelled practice… but just watch your email and Remind App. (League rules prohibit swimming under 55 degree weather, and we’ll additionally gauge the weather and storms brewing).
- Practice for Tues-Thurs is looking pretty good (so far!) See the full practice schedule here https://forestparkbluefins.swimtopia.com/practices.
- Guppies - See you at practice starting next week (May 27!)
Family Welcome Meet ’n Greet - Thursday, May 22, 6:30pm
- Thankfully, Thursday is looking beautiful so far!
- Plan to meet at the pool at 6:30pm to meet coaches, parent reps, other families, and learn more about the season and what to expect.
- Blue Fins caps will be available (if you need one), and free practice suits (see below!)
- We’ll also have any available used Blue Fins suits/gear on-site for purchase. Please bring any used suits you might have to donate too!

Now is the time to get the apps! As we start practices you’ll receive updates from coaches and you can also communicate with them via the Remind App. The Swimtopia App will be necessary before the first meet.

- One-stop-shop for the meet schedule, meet/event live results, etc. Free option is available, and paying for the premium $5.99/month subscription is optional. You can get away with the subscription for only a couple months this summer, then cancelling.
Free Practice Suits!!
- USA Swimming gifted a bunch of Speedo suits to the Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL), which were distributed to teams. They are yours for the taking!
- I have a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. I will bring the boxes to practices this week, as well as the Meet ’n Greet on Thursday.
- First come, first served. If you don’t know your swimmer’s size(s), check now!
Remember to Opt-In to Big Fish/Little Fish!
- Joining is optional, but if you’d like your swimmer to be part of Big Fish/Little Fish remember to opt-in by Monday, May 19! Big Fish/Little Fish Opt-In Form
- This is our team’s fun buddy system where older swimmers (Big Fish) get paired with younger teammates (Little Fish) to build friendships, boost team spirit, and cheer each other on all season long. * Guppies do not currently participate in Big Fish/Little Fish*
