Mid-Week Update: Entries, Noodles, Caps, and Ropes!

    Hello, Blue Fins!

Some important updates for you... read on!

Meet Entries Due: Wednesday @ Noon!!

Remember that meet entries are due by Wednesday at 12:00pm for this Saturday’s 6/21 meet at Homestead Farm.

    Thursday: Noodles & Co Fundraiser!

On Thursday (June 19) order dinner from Noodles & Co (Southglenn location) anytime between 4-8pm, and 25% will go directly back to the team!

    • Use Coupon Code: GIVING25 when ordering online, or mention the Forest Park Swim Team Fundraiser if ordering in-store.
    • Super easy-peasy way to take care of dinner, and support the Blue Fins!

    Caps Caps Caps!

I will have them in-hand tomorrow!

Generic Blue Fins caps will be available at the Stroke Clinic on Wednesday night (7-8pm), and at practices on Thursday and Friday.

    • Remember 1 cap per swimmer! If you have a cap already from previous years, please leave these caps for those who do not have any! Remind your swimmer of this - kids tend to grab caps without knowing/understanding they already have one at home.
    • Personalized caps: If you ordered a personalized cap, you’ll receive a text for porch pickup (or you can arrange an alternative).

    Update on Lane Ropes

In the spirit of transparency, I’d like to provide an update on our new lane ropes. As many of you know, we’ve had a couple instances where a lane rope became disconnected. I’ve had multiple phone conversations with the Malmsten VP over the past week, and we identified that two of our ropes were not threaded and connected properly during manufacturing.

Malmsten has been extremely gracious, and I’ve been very impressed by their customer service. The VP shared resources and photos and we’ve been able to fix the problem. Malmsten will also be providing us with a “lane line slide” (an edge protector for the ropes as they are taken up), as well as a new set of flags.

While I know this has been concerning, I do have faith in this company, their customer service, and the fact that they stand behind their product (even when something unexpected like this occurs). Malmsten has taken full responsibility and acknowledged that there was nothing on our end which would have caused these disconnections.

Thank you for your patience and let me know if you have any questions!

(If you’re unfamiliar with Malmsten, they are prominent in the global swimming community and their ropes and equipment are used in the Olympics and other high-profile competitions).

Keep on having a great week, Blue Fins!
