Hello Blue Fins! Here we are in the last week of our regular season! Here are action items and updates for this week:

Team Dinner on 6/27 (Please RSVP by Tuesday!)

We are so grateful to have Olive Garden donate our team dinner this Friday... pasta, meatballs, and salad!

• To help us plan, please RSVP no later than 5pm Tuesday.
• While dinner is provided by Olive Garden, any contributions are appreciated and will go directly back to the Blue Fins! 
  • Suggested donation: $5/person or $20/family. (Cash or Venmo Blue Fins)

Wednesday - Meet Entries Due by Noon!

• This is our last home meet (and last regular meet) this season! We'll welcome Green Oaks to our pool on Saturday, 6/28. Remember to get your entries in by Wednesday at noon! https://forestparkbluefins.swimtopia.com/swim_meets/666425/swim_meet_entries

Thursday - Pancake Breakfast Day!

• On Thursday, the coaches will treat swimmers to freshly made, poolside pancakes at practice. (Gluten free pancakes available as well). Make sure to come and celebrate our last practice week! 
• Thank you, Coaches!!

Thursday - Last Guppies Practice!

• Thursday will be the last practice for our Guppies - Way to go, little swimmers!
• Guppies - celebrate after practice with pancakes and a special prize.

Friday - Team Dinner (provided by Olive Garden!) 6:00-8:00pm

• Join us on the north lawn at the pool for an Olive Garden dinner on Friday evening. 
• Olive Garden is graciously donating pasta, meat, and salad. Suggested donations go directly back to the Blue Fins ($5/person or $20/family). Cash or Venmo. Please RSVP by Tuesday
• Bring your own drinks, and chairs/blankets to picnic on.
• After dinner, we'll set up the pool for our final home meet! 

Saturday Meet: Guppies Race!

• After event #45 at our meet on Saturday, Guppies are invited to participate in their own race! A coach will help them across the pool for their own 25 freestyle race.
• To help us plan, please reply to email and let us know your little swimmer is interested! 

Saturday Meet: Coaches vs Parents Relay!

• On Saturday we’ll conclude the meet with a Coaches vs Parents relay! (Taking place after Event #90).
• If you’re interested in participating, please let Sorin know this week (or reply to this email)

Meet Entries for Prelims are Open! (DUE: July 1)

• Prelims take place during the week of July 7 (Mon-Thurs). See full schedule for age group dates and locations.
• Prelims are open to everyone! Another great chance to swim in a meet this year. These are just like regular swim meets, but they include all teams in the league and each meet is a different age group. Limited to 2 individual entries per swimmer.
• A swimmer must have participated in 2 regular meets in order to swim in Prelims.
• Top 16 swimmers from each event will swim in Finals (July 12)
• Volunteers: The league assigns volunteer positions for Prelims and Finals to each team. We are obligated to fill those spots! Please take a look and sign up for a spot.

Extra Practice: June 30 & July 1

• Want a little extra practice time before holiday week? Anyone is welcome to come to limited practice times on Monday June 30, and Tuesday, July 1. 
• We'll have two practice times available (TBD- coming soon!)

Save the Date! Blue Fins Awards Banquet (July 12, 6-8pm)

• Everyone is welcome to attend the annual Blue Fins Award Banquet (Dinner + Sugar Rush!)
• Join us at the pool for dinner, awards, lots of yummy desserts, and swimming.
• Following the Award Banquet, you’re welcome to stick around as guests for the Forest Park Flick ’n Float! (A poolside movie experience!)
