It's time for our first real swim meet of the season! Remember that this week is a unique Sprint Meet format (all others will follow traditional format). Meet Starts: 9:00am!! Forest Park warms up at 8:15am. See below for full schedule.
Here are essential pieces of information, and some updates to know as we head into tomorrow…
Location
Hunters Hill Pool

- Street parking- please be mindful of driveways, children crossing, etc. See parking details below.
Volunteers
- Please try to check in at least 15 min before your shift at our "Blue Fins Tent". (It's my light gray tent, with the Blue Fins Banner on it. Typically front and center). Your shifts are listed in the Swimtopia app, and on our Swimtopia website when you login and view your account. (You'll also receive a reminder email this evening).
- Remember that our shifts are scheduled by event, not time.

- This meet may move fast!! Listen to announcers and pay attention to what events are in the heating area. We don’t want any swimmers left behind!
- Please write your swimmer’s events on their arm or leg (Event Number, Stroke, Heat, Lane). This makes it much easier for Heating volunteers!

Welcome Letter and Schedule:
Here is the welcome letter from Hunters Hill, our host this Saturday! Please read carefully for information about parking, tent setup, concessions, Timer and Stroke Judge meetings, etc.
We are excited to host Forest Park on Saturday! Please let us know if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out:
WARM-UP PROCEDURE
- Hunters Hill warm up 7:45 am to 8:15 am
- Forest Park warm up 8:15 am to 8:45 am
- Starts are NOT allowed during general warm-up. Coaches may monitor one way starts.
SCHEDULE
- 7:45 am – Hunters Hill warm up
- 8:00 am – Scratch Meeting in the heating area
- 8:15 am - Forest Park warm up (clear pool by 8:45)
- 8:15 am – Coaches Meeting with Starter/Referee in the heating area
- 8:20 am – Stroke Judges Meeting for ALL SHIFTS by starter’s tent
- 8:30 am – Heating Meeting for Shift 1 volunteers in the heating area
- 8:45 am – Timers Meeting for ALL SHIFTS by starter’s tent/ Final warm-up session ends
- 8:50 am – Shift 1 Volunteers report to the white announcer’s tent
- 8:55 am – National Anthem / Events #1-#4 swimmers in heating
- 9:00 am – Start of Meet
SAFETY and RESTRICTIONS:
- Depth at start end is minimum 5 feet and turn end is 3.5 feet.
- All coaches, officials, parents, and swimmers should act in a safe manner.
- All participants, visitor coaches and officials should be reminded that swimming venues have areas where additional care is needed. This includes but is not limited to slippery decks. Proper footwear and caution are recommended.
- No running or horseplay is allowed; it is the responsibility of the swimmer, coach, officials, and parents to monitor these activities.
- Remember safety first! Please help accommodate your neighbors.
- The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, restrooms, or locker rooms.
- No photography behind the starting platforms during any starts.
- Deck changing is prohibited.
- Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas and spectator areas) any time athletes, coaches, officials, and/or spectators are present.
TENTS:
- Teams may set up their tents in the designated grass area, which is located along the fence(side closest to the parking lot).
- We will provide trash bags and just ask you to please remind your swimmers to pick up after the meet.
- ASIDE FROM THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH MEET OPERATIONS, NO TENTS/CANOPIES MAY BE SET UP ON THE POOL DECK.
PARKING:
- Parking for the swim meet is available on both sides of the streets of Xanthia St. ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES WILL BE TICKETED AND POSSIBLY TOWED.
- There will be an unloading area in front of the stop sign in front of the entrance where tents and other items can be unloaded. Please be respectful of this area and others. This is an unloading area - NO PARKING.
- Each team will have access to two reserved parking spaces in the main Hunters Hill pool parking lot. These reserved parking spaces can be used at the discretion of each team for coaches and/or team Parent Reps.
VOLUNTEERS:
- ALL volunteers are asked to check in at the white announcer’s tent 10 minutes prior to their shift starting to assure seamless shift changes.
COACHES AREA:
- Coaches will have team-designated seating areas on the same side of the pool as your tent.
CONCESSIONS:
- We accept cash and Venmo (@Scott-Lucius) for payment.
HEATING:
- ONLY heating swimmers, coaches, working volunteers, and Parent Reps will be allowed in the heating area. All others, including non-heating swimmers and parents, will not be allowed in the heating area.
HEAT SHEETS:
- The final heat sheet is attached! We will not be providing any heat sheets to any teams or selling any at the meet. Each team is responsible for printing their own heat sheets. You will also be able to access the heat sheet on the SwimTopia app.
