Good evening, Blue Fins! Great job yesterday at our away meet! Everyone had fun, helped out when needed, and I think we all handled the long day well. Go Blue Fins!

Here are important action items and reminders for this week…

Home Meet entries Due WEDNESDAY at 5pm!

Meet entries do close at 5:00! If you miss the deadline please text/email either me or a coach immediately.
Relay Reminder: If you indicate you are available for relays (early, late, or both), this is a commitment! Check the heat sheets on Friday, and if your swimmer was placed in a relay you are expected to be there (otherwise the entire relay team may scratch, which is no fun for everyone).
If your swimmer needs a coach in the water with them for an event, please indicate this in the “notes for coaches” section.
Attention Dads!! See below for info on our annual Dad’s Relay this Saturday!

Breaststroke Clinic this Wednesday! 7-8pm

Breaststroke Clinic registration is currently full, but there are others interested so if you cannot attend please either cancel your signup or let me know ASAP!
Reminder: $10 CASH! Please remember to bring cash (no Venmo). Cash makes it much easier for our coaches to split/share the money.

Team BYODinner: Friday, June 19, 6:30-8:00pm

This week's Team Dinner is BYOD! Bring your own dinner for a Blue Fins picnic at the park, and join the coaches for some park games.
NW corner of Arapaho Park, behind the pool
Bring chairs, blankets, etc (plus your own dinner and drinks)
You can set up your gear in the pool for Saturday’s meet starting around 8:00.

Dad’s Relay this Weekend!

It’s back by popular demand! We'll celebrate Father’s Day Weekend with a Dad’s Relay this Saturday (June 20) during our Home Meet. Relay will take place during shift change, after Event 45.

Important Updates!

T-Shirt pickup!
- All t-shirt orders have arrived!! They are labeled and on my porch for pickup anytime during the day (I bring them inside at dark). I am always at practice during 7-8 and 6&Under/Guppies, so if you'd rather me bring yours to the pool during that time please let me know!
- Porch Pickup: 7727 S Detroit St, 80122 (about 1 block from the pool).

- We are sad to report that Lorelei Baber (one of our assistant coaches) has decided to step down and leave Blue Fins. We know she will be tremendously missed by so many young swimmers - Thank you Lorelei for all you did for our team! We will all miss you.

June 20: Home Meet (warm ups 6:45am, meet start 8:00am)
June 24: Team Pictures & Pool Party!
- Pictures from 8:00-9:30am (drop by anytime). We are switching back to YSPN again this year, for a smoother process. Wear your team suit! Sibling pictures also available. Stick around after for a pool party until 10:45!
- NO Guppies practice on June 24!
June 24, 7-8pm: Butterfly Stroke Clinic. Sign up here!
June 25: Last Guppies Practice!! Stick around and pick up your Guppies Gift after practice!
June 26: Pancake Breakfast Practice! Coaches cook pancake breakfast for everyone to enjoy after their Fun Friday practice! (regular practice times).
June 26, 6-8pm: Team Dinner provided by Olive Garden!! Carb load and free swim! Registration highly recommended so we have an accurate food count.
- Kids must be out of the pool by 7:45, Meet setup starts around 8:00.
June 27: Last Regular Season Meet (at home!)
- Guppies Race! All Guppies are invited to participate in their own event, with a coach helping them across the pool (takes place after Event 45, halfway through meet). Watch for signup to participate.
- Parents vs Coaches Relays! Parents and Coach Relays to take place at the end of the meet. Watch for signup to participate.
Prelims and Finals! Everyone is welcome to participate, and they’ll be here before you know it! Deadline for Prelims meet entries is FRIDAY, JUNE 26! More info to come soon. (Prelims take place July 6-9; Finals on July 11. See calendar for full schedule and locations)
- All families who participate in Prelims are asked to sign up for a volunteer spot. If we don’t fill our spots I will place you in a spot!
End-of-Season Dinner, Awards and Sugar Rush Pool Party!
- Saturday, July 11, 5:30-8:00pm
- Awards and Swimmer Gifts, Dinner, Season Slide Show, and lots of swimming!
- Dinner and drinks provided. Bring a dessert to share!
